I'm currently the Sr. Manager of Knowledge Management for Bright House Networks in Tampa Florida.

While researching my dissertation idea of “Embedding Knowledge Artifacts within the Business Process” I found few articles and research within the problem domain. KM research has mostly focused on defining knowledge, methods for implementing corporate KM policies, managing corporate knowledge, and improving the multiple components of KM. While that research has defined and improved upon the ambiguous concepts of KM, it has failed to address the need for an integrated KM & BPM solution, and has not modeled the knowledge into some form of hierarchy around an enterprise-wide information domain or process; then presenting the knowledge within the users’ workspace based upon the context of their duties.

Convincing my dissertation committee that this is a corporate problem was difficult and I still have not provided proof that the problem is solvable. I plan to frequently post my ideas around the subject, discuss tools I have implemented as an Information Worker Consultant, applicable research & white papers, and elicit feedback from this community of interest.
